New features coming in Android M.

Every body excited with the new name: what "M" will stand for in Android M. Any guess? Milky bite, Mango bite , you can comment your guesses  ... But the actual question is what are the new features coming in android M? Lets see one by one .

  • App permissions

    App permissions
you now have more control on App permissions. Users will be able to approve or deny security permissions, such as camera or location access, on a case-by-case basis. Currently, when you install an Android app, you agree to a range of permissions, such as what the app has access to. In Android M, you don't have to agree to things you don't want agree to. Instead, apps will ask permissions when you use a feature, rather than at installation.
  • Finger Print Support

Is it end of PIN , Password or Pattern ??  may be . Android M coming with finger print password. So if your phone has fingerprint scan than for authentication purpose you can use it instead of password or pin .

  •  Andoid Pay

Using an open API, Android Pay will be available through Android's own app, or integrated into other bank apps. Developers can use this feature for payment purpose for their app. It can be also possible that user can authenticate using FingerPrint and pay via Android pay.

  • Simplified Volume Control

In Android M , you have simplified volume control. Which allows you to control volumes of ringtones , music ,alarm etc independently.
    Simplified volume Control

  • Improved Battery Life

In Android M , Google coming with new feature called Dose. It will take care of your battery life. When your mobile is not active , it will stop background processes running. It will improve your battery life twice.
This comes with one sacrifice: apps don't stay as "fresh," meaning they won't be fully up-to-date with the latest information while your phone is dozing. That's a small price to pay for double the battery life, though.

  • Chrome Custom tabs

It is for developers, to improve web experience. Now google chrome can be embedded with App only. So no need to go to chrom for viewing web content in any App. There will be one chrome tab in App itself will display the content. You can also use save password, cookies etc like normal browser.

Inbox by Gmail

What is "Inbox by Gmail"?

It is a new email app by Google. It is available for android and iOS and also for web. App is available to a limited user group only, and will be expanding its user pool via an invite system similar to the one that Google used for Gmail. You can also email Google at inbox@google.com to request access, if you don’t like your chances of getting an invite from a friend. Now watch a video .

  How does it work?

Inbox, built by the Gmail team, keeps things organized and helps you get  back to what matters.

• BUNDLES - Similar messages are bundled together so you can deal with them all at once. And get rid of them with one tap.

•  HIGHLIGHTS - Get the most important information without even opening  the message. Check-in for flights, see shipping information for  purchases, and view photos from friends right up front.

• REMINDERS: More than mail, you can add Reminders so your inbox contains all the things you need to get back to.

•  SNOOZE: Snooze emails and Reminders to come back when you are ready to  deal with them: next week, when you get home, or whenever you choose.

•  SEARCH: Inbox helps you find exactly what you’re looking for— from your  upcoming flight to a friend's address— without having to dig through  messages.

• WORKS WITH GMAIL: Inbox is built by the Gmail team,  so all your messages from Gmail are here, along with the reliability and  spam protection of Gmail. All of your messages are still in Gmail and  always will be.

Voice Search On Google

Search by speaking.

- You can now say things like "pictures of …" or "where is …?"
- Fixed browser button in latest versions of Chrome.

Voice Search provides a method to search by speaking. For example,
just click on the microphone and say "kittens" to search for kittens.
If you specifically want pictures of kittens, say "google images
kittens".
Want to learn more about World War II? Say "wikipedia world war two".

Voice Search comes pre-loaded with the following default services:
Google, Wikipedia, YouTube, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and Wolfram|Alpha.

You can also add your own user-defined search engines.
It also integrates speech input buttons for text fields on all websites.

This extension requires a microphone, and it needs access to all
websites,
so it can add speech input buttons to every text field.

How to Get it on your PC

>Download Google's Chrome browser.
>you need, because it turns out Voice Search is built right in.
>Just head to Google.com,
>then click the little microphone on the right side of
>the search field. (Needless to say, this will work only if your PC has
 a microphone.
Most laptops do; most desktops don't, unless you have a
Webcam.)

The feature is also available in Google Maps,
though it doesn't extend to other Google properties like Calendar,
Gmail, and YouTube.
